How to Play The Google Drinking Game
Getting Started
Pick a player to go first. The player who goes first picks a word, which is fed to the Google search above. After this, play passes to the left, and each player adds a word. Words may be misspelled or made up (no special characters or numbers). If a search turns up no hits, the player who added that word must drink. If a player reaches a search with only one result, they win the round and everyone else must drink.

How much players drink depends on how well they can control the number of hits their string results in.

Object of The Game
The object of the game is to be the last player standing (i.e. the person who has drunk the smallest amount and may still have the ability to stand).

Requirements
The game requires:
- Two or more players over 21 years of age (U.S.)
- Good supply of alcohol
- Internet access
- 1024 X 768 screen resolution recommended

Common Words
When a common word is used in the search, such as 'it', Google automatically excludes it from the search. The player who enters the common word may enter another word. If the second word entered is also a common word, the player must drink but the round continues with the next player.

Links Dispute
Sometimes there are more links displayed than is represented by the results counter. However, the results counter is the official count for the game.

Social
When the round reaches 10 words without a winner or losser, everyone drinks!

String Acceptability
The strings (i.e. words) given by players are letters only, with no spaces or punctuation. Strings do not have to be spelled correctly, or even be a word in a natural language. Words must be from 1 to 16 letters. For faster rounds, play with quotes around the words.

Search Process
Players, in turn, add the new string to the end of the Google search, separated from the last added string by a space. Then the search button is pressed to display the results. Sample results look like this:
Results 1 - 10 of about 746 for getting drunk soooooooooo bad crazy hurts so good. (0.29 seconds)

Outcome of Search
One of the following outcomes will occur after each search:
- If the resulting search produces zero (0) hits, then the current player has lost the round and must take one drink.
- If the resulting search only produces one (1) hit, the current player has won the round, and all the other players must take one drink.
- If the query reaches 10 words a social is declared and every one drinks.
- Otherwise, nothing is drunk and it is the next player's turn.

Have Fun!
